This time of year tends to be very trying for those that find themselves in financial sales. Typically clients are beginning to get ready for the holidays and are not that interested in making any changes to their portfolio. At least that's the way the rational goes. Truth is, things do slow down. Producers begin to sound like their clients announcing that they will "start that next year." A week of "time off" turns into 2, then 2 turns into the whole month of December. Ba-humbug! Time to throw out the box

I didn't know it was cheaper to pay Jay Leno then to produce a 1 hour drama. But, apparently, someone at NBC did. Then again, so did CBS. Yet it didn't dawn on them to replace one of their failing dramas with a successful late night program. In case you haven't heard, that's exactly what the big-wigs at NBC have decided to do. Starting next year Jay Leno will be starting a "new" 1 hour talk show, while Conan O'Brien takes the reigns of "The Tonight Show."  read more
